Zebra Mussels

Zebra mussels have been identified in several area lakes.

Everyone must be extra vigilant when moving a boat from lake to lake.

“Traveling” sport fishermen, the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Ontario Provincial Police move from lake to lake frequently.

The entire exterior of the boat must be cleaned and inspected, the bilge pumped dry and water drained completely from the motor to allow drying of the cooling system. Live bait and catch wells must be inspected and never dumped from lake to lake.
