SRI ANNOUNCES 3rd ANNUAL COTTAGE CLOSING FOOD BANK DRIVE
Tri-Township Community Food Basket Food Bank
Thanksgiving Weekend 2025
Once again the SRI is inviting our community to participate in a “cottage closing” food donation drive for the Tri-Township Community Food Basket Food Bank in Coe Hill.
The Tri-Township Community Food Basket Food Bank is ALWAYS in need of donations. Many people in this area rely on it. Because of our donations to The Food Bank, people in our community do not have to make the terrible decision on what to pay first: rent, hydro, heat or to buy food for themselves and/or their children. A recent news article mentions that fully one-quarter of Canadians are struggling to meet food demands for their families. As we move into the fall and winter seasons, this need becomes more apparent.
We are asking our community to generously donate items they may find upon closing cottages or when reducing food and/or dry stuffs in their homes andcottages this fall. No need to pack it up and take it home. Food products must be unopened and unexpired. Dry items such as toilet paper, paper towels, etcetera are also welcomed.
Please consider donating to this worthy cause in support of our community during the colder seasons.
Donations can be made Saturday, October 11 through Monday, October
