The annual SRI (Dickey Lake, Lake of Islands, Lost Lake & Perch Lake) Community Cleanup will be Sunday, May 3, 2026 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. We once again thank Mike and Sue Stevens for organizing and hosting this annual event and also arranging with Marmora and Lake to take the collected material. We will meet at the Marmora and Lake Sand Dome on Steenburg Lake Road North at 9:00 am.
This year we will have a special guest speaker, Robert Canning, Invasive Species Specialist to explain to the community about Eurasian Milfoil and what to do if you discover this invasive plant on your waterfront. As you know the SRI conducted a waterfront survey in 2025 using Robert’s skills to determine the extent of the infestation of EWM in Dickey Lake and Lake of Islands.
Please remember that many hands make light work in our cleanup efforts.
Thank you for your support of the SRI Community
