2nd Annual Cottage Closing Food Drive

All goods to be donated to the local Tri-Township Food Basket program.  For people in need.

Thanksgiving Weekend 2024

Once again, the SRI is promoting a local foodbank drive.  What better time to do this than over Thanksgiving weekend.  Any giving is a small way to significantly promote the goodwill of our Shawano community.

If you are closing your cottage for the winter OR closing for a shorter period of time, please consider donating unopened and non-perishable items and toiletries to this cause.  Cottage closing time is ideal to consider doing so – you don’t have to carry heavy items back home with you.  

Even if you live here all year round, please consider giving.  Take some time to clean up your pantry and bring the items for donation that you no longer need.  

Many of us may not be aware of the level of need within our cottage community which you share.  This need grows exponentially in winter months.  

Donation items MUST be unopened, non-perishable and unexpired.  Unopened toiletries are also welcomed.

IT’S EASY AND QUICK

 All items can be dropped off at the Matthewman residence at 544 Jennison Road over the Thanksgiving Weekend (Saturday through Monday).  A large box will be set up beside our garage (or in the garage, if raining).
